The MIT license provides no protection against claims of trademark infringement from the holder. The first thing anyone will need to do to use this library safely is to remove all references to the trademark.
And if one subjectively feels that its a non issue? No one is going to pay $200 an hour to a lawyer to check to see if it is safe to leave a trademark in the source code of MIT licensed component before they ship.
I suggest removing the TM or picking a non-trademarked name for the opensource version.
